Korčula (island Korčula)

During this excursion, you will visit the birthplace of the world traveler, explorer and travel writer Marco Polo – the island and town of Korčula. In addition to beautiful beaches for swimming, this island also offers numerous historical and cultural sights, such as the Korčula walls from the 15th century, the Veliki Ravelin tower and the Land Gate, and the cathedral of St. Marko.

We depart from Podgora at 9:00 a.m. With Dalmatian music and a free welcome drink (wine, brandy selection, water), we sail to the island of Korčula for approximately 3 hours.

*During the distribution of welcome drinks, each guest is entitled to one (1) free welcome drink of their choice (wine, choice of brandy, water).

Panoramic ride

Panoramic drive along the southern part of the Makarska Riviera and passing by the island of Hvar and the Pelješac peninsula.

Lunch

During the panoramic drive, just before arriving at Korčula, we serve lunch.

Salad and bread are served as a side dish.

During lunch, water and wine are unlimited.

Arrival on Korčula

Arrival on the island of Korčula is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., where we take a three-hour break for sightseeing and leisure activities.

Return to the ship + snack

At 2:00 p.m. we return to the ship and head towards Podgora.

During the three-hour drive, we serve coffee and biscuits.

Return to Podgora

After a three-hour drive, we arrive in Podgora around 5:30 p.m., which is the end of our trip.

If you have a question that we haven’t answered in advance, feel free to contact us.

All our ships are built according to world standards and the SOLAS convention for safety at sea.

All our boats meet the requirements of the Croatian Register of Ships and are equipped with the appropriate number of life jackets, pneumatic rafts and all the necessary fire fighting equipment.

Also, all ships are equipped with sanitary facilities, closed salons.

The captains of the Vela Marine fleet closely follow several weather forecast models, which are the basis of the excursion schedule, which is formed on a weekly basis.

Often, weather forecasts do not correspond to the actual situation on the day of the excursion, and do not affect its realization.

In the event that the weather forecast adversely affects the safety of passengers, the captains make decisions on the cancellation of the excursion for that day.

In case you want to replace an existing reservation, it will be transferred to a new appointment. If you are not able to choose another excursion date, we will provide a refund at the point of sale where you booked the excursion.

We recommend arriving at least half an hour (30 minutes) before the boat’s departure.

Vela Marine has a private parking lot to which we will take you, and that parking lot is free of charge. You can also park your car near the Podgora marina, where parking is charged.

It is allowed to take a pet on Vela Marine ships. The condition is that the pet is on a leash during the entire trip.

All Vela Marine ships are suitable for children in strollers.

The ships have a bar offering a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as several types of snacks.

During the break, you are completely free to do whatever you want, such as walking, sightseeing, eating, swimming, etc.

It is not necessary for you to be a swimmer on our excursions. If you are not a swimmer, you can enjoy other activities such as walking, sunbathing and, of course, sightseeing and natural beauty.
